My Works Though I am a web application designer and database administrator, but I love to design things and taking pictures. I guess they give me more accomplishment then doing my real jobs... **The following are projects week over week, click on the link below every project to view or download. You may need Shockwave plug-in or SETL\Tk compiler. CY Tourister

Impact Management System (EIMS) Couse Project 1 (Establish your home page. Include some simple Director animation in it.) Course Project 2 (Set up a Director animation, in which a small circular ball with an attached caption bounces across the stage when a button is pressed but disappears if the button is pressed while the vall is visible on stage.) Course Project 3 (Add sound to your Project 2 animation, in a way which adds to its interest. Pay careful attention to the graphic-to-sound synchronizaion issues involved. Try to minimize the size of the sound files involved.) <VIEW> <DOWNLOAD>* I used GoldWave as my sound editor. Pretty much struggled to find a good music and chop a small part of it. I have to make sure when you "loop" the sound it doesn't sound too awkward. Also the WAV file size is one of my concern too, instead of using stereo, I used mono to reduce the file size by 50%. For the ball-bouncing sound, it's really hard to find one in web, I even recorded myself, but the resolution wasn't come out good (always with backgound noise...), so I decided to use the water-dripping sound, hope you don't feel a thing at all...:P ** Find the "Play Music" and "Stop Music" on the top, you will find them pretty handy to use. Project 4 (Translate your Project 2 animation into SETL/Tk. Modify
it so that the bounce accelerates and decelerates according to the laws
of physics, and so that multiple balls can bounce around in a * To run this SETL/Tk program, you need to install compiler where you can also download from my site. When you compile, you will see 3 buttons at lower right side. Click on "1-Ball Alone" button, you will see one ball bouncing alone in the 640 by 280 window; click on "2-Ball Collide" button, you will see two balls bouncing and sometimes collide with each other; click on "3-Ball Crazy" button, you will see three balls bouncing around and collide with one another. Course Final Project (Submit a 1-page written description of your proposed Final Major Project, for approval by Prof. Schwartz.) * The whole site you are viewing now is my final project. I will put a long intro Shockwave file in the first page, so every time you enter "http://www.fishark.com/" it will load that intro file. The intro file I am taking about will be the most important part of my final project, since I have been working on it for almost a month. You can look forward to it, I will soon upload the file. BTW, the title of my final project is called "Creating my personal professional website." Sounds good? |
